Equipment Types

The equipment defines the trailer type for your shipment. Use the following values to specify your requirements:

Shipment Capacity and Weight

The EchoSync Pricing API processes one quote request per trailer. Use the following guidelines to manage your shipment data:

  • Single-Truck Basis: Every quote request is calculated for exactly one trailer (or a portion of one trailer for Partial Loads). If your total freight exceeds the capacity of a single truck, please split your data and submit a separate quote request for each load.
  • Baseline Capacity: A standard 53' trailer typically holds approximately 26 standard pallets (48" x 40") when single-stacked.
  • Partial Load (PL) Weight: When submitting pl mode quotes, use the handlingUnitTotalWeight field to specify the total gross weight (freight + packaging + pallet) for your handling units.

  • All enum values are lowercase and case-sensitive. TL ≠ tl
  • There is an automatic normalization for specific fields, their values are transformed to lowercase:
    • modes
    • equipment
    • stop.country
    • stop.locationType

General Business Rules

Stops

  • If the pick-up date is later than the drop date, the drop date will be ignored and the request will be processed without it.
  • If the drop date is not provided, the request will still be processed.

Retry Logic

If a request does not process immediately, the system will automatically try again to ensure it is successful.

  • How it works: To resolve temporary connection issues, the system performs a series of retries with increasing wait times.
  • Impact: This may cause a slight delay for some requests. Please wait few seconds for the process to complete before trying again.
